These terms apply when you use Written For Them to create a song preview or buy a song. By creating a preview or placing an order, you agree to them.
What we make
Written For Them creates custom songs from the information you provide. Lyrics are written from your answers with the help of an AI language model, and the music and vocals are produced with AI music technology. The preview you hear before paying is part of the same recording you receive when you buy.
Your content
You're responsible for what you submit. Please only share information you have the right to share, and don't submit anything hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, defamatory, or content that infringes someone else's rights (including other songs' lyrics, or real artists and brands). We may decline to create or deliver a song that breaks these rules. You must be 18 or older to use the service.
Your license to your song
When you buy a song, you receive a perpetual, worldwide, personal license to keep, play, download, share and post it, including on social media and at private and public events such as weddings, birthdays and memorials. You may not resell or sublicense the song, register it with content-identification or royalty services, or use it in commercial advertising. Because AI-assisted works may not be eligible for copyright protection, we don't grant or transfer copyright ownership; we grant you the use rights above. The lyrics, names and memories you provided remain yours.
Price, payment and delivery
Prices are shown before checkout and charged once, in US dollars unless stated otherwise at checkout. Your song unlocks on your song page when your payment is approved, and you receive a link by email. Extras you add to your order (such as an instrumental or a video version) are prepared automatically and appear on the same page, usually within minutes.
Revisions and refunds
Each purchased song includes 3 free revisions, requested from your song page. Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase as described in our Refund Policy.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running and your songs available, and we store purchased songs for your lifetime access. If a technical problem ever prevents us from delivering your song, you'll receive a full refund.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a song is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
